About McLaren Doors

McLaren Doors is a North American manufacturer of roll-up truck doors for commercial vehicles, serving fleets, OEMs, and upfitters with lightweight, corrosion-resistant door systems designed for real-world freight applications.

Founded in 2013 by Stewart McLaren, the company was built on experience in the material handling industry through Almac Conveyor Systems. Recognizing an opportunity to improve how roll-up doors perform in demanding environments, McLaren Doors entered the freight sector with a focus on solving practical challenges such as weight reduction, corrosion resistance, and day-to-day usability.

To accelerate its development, McLaren Doors acquired Roador, a roll-up door manufacturer with a similar objective. Following the acquisition, the company reassessed the existing product lines and shifted direction toward improving long-term durability, serviceability, and overall product performance.

A focused engineering effort followed, with designs reworked, tested, and refined through hands-on trials. The approach emphasized real-world performance—ensuring products function reliably under the conditions fleets and operators face every day.

Today, McLaren Doors supports customers across North America with roll-up door systems built for commercial trucks, including dry freight and temperature-controlled applications. As an active member of the NTEA – The Work Truck Association, the company remains aligned with evolving industry standards, while its involvement with the Toronto Transportation Club helps maintain strong connections within the broader transportation community.

McLaren Doors continues to focus on practical, functional innovation—developing products that reduce downtime, improve reliability, and meet the demands of modern freight transportation.

Almac Industrial Systems

Almac Industrial is a world class developer and manufacturer of material handling and automated systems. Founded in 1969 Almac Industrial originally focused on gravity and belt conveyor systems to help companies optimize production processes and minimize non-productive time. Over the years Almac has grown its focus to provide companies with a wide variety of operations from formed steel and laser cut components to automated assembly units.

In 2012 Almac Industrial expanded its reach even further to include roll-up truck doors. Almac's advanced engineering and design team has applied their expertise to the McLaren Doors design, refining, tweaking, and developing the McLaren Doors product line to be the ultimate in roll-up truck door technology.
